Yves' Promise in Cameroon

We had the great pleasure to present “Yves’ Promise” at the Yarha Festival at Cameroons capital Yaoundé. With this trip director Melanie Gärtner brought the film back to his country of origin. At her side: two Cameroonian protagonists, Yves’ sister Annie and his best friendSylvain, as well as the members of the Cameroonian teams Roméo Zaf and Roger Mboupda, who came a long way to the capital to attend the screenings.

Partner: German Documentaries and Goethe-Institut Kamerun. Many thanks to Bärbel Mauch and Raphael Mouchangou.

Title tune

Analog meets digital: to create our title tune we are happy to welcome the artists Siriki Coulibaly (Burkina Faso, today Collogne) and Ludwig Kuckartz (Germany, Collogne) in our team. Siriki improvised with the balafon, and Ludwig worked on these sounds and produced an impressive digital carpet of sounds. The result: amazing. and a real german- burkinian Coproduction. Thanks, Siriki and Ludwig.
